Leawood Stage Company was thrilled to welcome back Eric Van Horn as writer and director of British Invasion.
Van Horn has directed prior LSC shows such as Brigadoon, Bye, Bye Birdie, as well as performing as Buffalo Bill in “Annie Get Your Gun” and as Fagin in this summer’s production of “Oliver!”. Van Horn has been responsible for writing, directing and assembling some of the most talented vocalist for past wildly successful music reviews for other local theaters.

This song cycle was developed for the 50th anniversary of the phenominon that swept America in the mid-1960’s. Rock and Pop music groups such as The Beatles, The Dave Clark Five, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones and The Who became popular on both sides of the Atlantic. Music as well as other aspects of British culture, became popular in the United States, and were significant to the rising "counterculture" of the 60s.
British Invasion was performed on November 5, 6, and 7, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. and November 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lodge at Ironwoods Park.
