20th Anniversary Season Directors
Leawood Stage Company is proud to announce the directors for our 20th Anniversary Season of “Shows with Purpose”.
Chris McCoy is the Assistant Professor of Theatre and Stage Director at William Jewell College. Chris has directed four summer productions at Leawood Stage Company, previously directing The Music Man and Guys and Dolls, Hello Dolly! and Annie. He also directed LSC’s From Broadway with Love a music revue of Broadway songs about love last Valentine’s Day. He has served as Artistic Director for Leawood Stage Company. Chris has worked across the country with regional theatre and opera companies as well as directed many shows with community theatres around Kansas City.
Eric Van Horn has been active in theatre for over 40 years and more than 30 as a director. He has directed several prior shows with LSC: Brigadoon, Bye Bye Birdie, Nunsense and British Invasion. He has directed in many local theaters. He was last seen on the LSC stage as Fagin in Oliver! He is LSC’s Tech Director and holds the same position with Theatre for Young America. He has served on boards of several local community theaters. He currently the Kansas City director of The Murder Mystery Company, a national immersive theater company.
Annette Cook has acted in and directed shows throughout the region. Her extensive resume includes shows previously directed for Leawood Stage Company; Sound of Music and Once Upon a Mattress and she has appeared in LSC’s production of Nunsense. Since 2013, Annette has costumed most of Leawood Stage Company’s productions. She serves LSC as Costume Coordinator and as a member of the Board of Directors.
Seth McClintock most recently co-directed (Oliver) for Leawood Stage Company summer of 2015. As former drama teacher/director at Shawnee Mission West High School Seth directed a myriad of musicals and plays. Regionally and Internationally: Pittsburg, KS Theatre in the Park - (Babes in Arms), The Theatre Program, Campus High in Wichita, KS (Show Boat, Brigadoon, Paint Your Wagon, The Boyfriend, Li'l Abner), David Garrick Theatre in Stockport, England (Oklahoma), The Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, Ireland, (Music Man), De Balie Theatre in Amsterdam, Netherlands (Music Man). Seth also served on the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival as Vice President - Education committee. He is now an active member of the LSC Board.
David Shook wrote and directed (An Evening with Hiltini) Industrial Show for Hilton Hotels Corporation, Writer and Director (The Hein Phen Story) for The Hilton Hotel Walt Disney World Village, Writer and Director for a number of events/industrial shows produced by BUCOM International, Inc. based in Chicago, IL, and most recently co-directed (Oliver) for Leawood Stage Company summer of 2015. He also has performed in numerous regional productions. David is a member of the LSC Board.
